The men’s soccer team defeated local rival Lincoln Land Community College by the score of 3-1 on Saturday.  The game was dominated by Lincoln College who ended with 28 shots compared to Lincoln Lands 3.  Jose Castillo got on the board first for the Lynx in the middle of the first half when he converted on a Penalty Kick.  Cristian Castillo wouldn’t be outdone by his brother as he finished a great shot from outside the box from a combination play by Petor Kromah and Sekani Mayers.  The final goal came from Petor Kromah as he finished a ball to put he Lynx up 3-0.  Lincoln Land put the ball in the back of the net for their goal late in the game to take away the clean sheet from Pierson Fleming.

The next, and final region 24 game, will take place at the Corn Crib Stadium in Normal, Il on Wednesday, October 12 at 6 PM as the Lynx take on Heartland Community College.
