Lincoln College hosted undefeated #5 Parkland College.  The game started with Lincoln possessing the majority of the ball time and having four good looks at goal.  However, despite having five corners and five shots on goal in the opening 25 minutes, the Lynx found themselves down 1-0.

Coach Massena said, “They caught us on the break, we had a corner that was cleared and our defenders didn’t communicate and Parkland got a breakaway and put it away”.

Parkland wasn’t done there as they put two more quick ones on Lincoln to end the half 3-0.   Massena said, “We had the run of play and we let them score on their first three shots of the game. At our level if you give up free looks they punish you; there is a reason they are a top 5 team in the nation and they showed us that today.”

The second half of the game Lincoln came out and scored two goals, but in the end Parkland scored a final goal to end the game Parkland 4- Lincoln 2.

The Lynx return home Saturday, October 8 to play Lincoln Land Community College at 1:00 p.m.
